Dr. Hemant Dhawan has joined Dental Associates as a pediatric dentist in our New Milford and Shelton offices and will treat our youngest patients from infancy to adolescence.

Dr. Dhawan grew up in the Danbury area and after graduating high school, went on to receive his bachelors of science Cum Laude from the University of Florida at Gainesville. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia for his doctorate in medical dentistry (DMD).

After completing 2 years of additional specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Dhawan decided to return to his childhood roots in Connecticut. Since research has shown there is a direct correlation between oral health and a child’s physical growth and cognitive development, he looks forward to helping families understand the vital importance of oral health care in children between the ages of one and fifteen and to help educate them as much as possible.

Dr. Dhawan is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and the American Dental Association (ADA).

When Dr. Dhawan isn't fighting against the cavity bugs, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
