Dr. Lawrence J. Nkabinde practices General Dentistry, with emphasis on Endodontics, Restorative, Esthetic and Prosthodontic dentistry. Before joining Dental Associates in 1989, Dr. Nkabinde was a Clinical Fellow in Special Care at the University of Connecticut John Dempsey Hospital. Dr. Nkabinde received his Bachelor of Science from Fort Hare University in South Africa, his Master of Science degree at the University of Southampton, England and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University. He served his residency at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. Before his dental training, Dr. Nkabinde taught high school math, chemistry, and physics for eight years.

Dr. Nkabinde is a member of these professional organizations: the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Greater Danbury Dental Association, the American Society of Osseointegration, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a Fellow in the American College of Implantology.

Dr. Nkabinde currently is the Centennial President of the Newtown Rotary Club.

When not working with his patients, Dr. Nkabinde is active in the community and participates in a mentoring program for children at risk. He currently is the Centennial President of the Newtown Rotary Club. A talented vocalist, he sings in a choral group, and also enjoys jazz music, playing tennis, and traveling.
