Invisalign, Newtown CT - Invisalign works for all ages!
Win Brickmeier grew up on Long Island, graduated from Bucknell University in 1963, and married her long-time friend and senior prom date, Paul, in 1964. After six years of teaching Spanish on Long Island and Wilton, CT, she spent ten years as an at-home mom for her children, Laura and Jim. In 1979, she returned to teaching Spanish at Newtown High School, earning an M.S.in Reading Consulting at WestConn in 1983. As a reading consultant at Newtown High School, she expanded the tutoring center where she and her staff worked with students who needed help with their academic subjects.Since most high school students were already good readers, Win found she needed to go back to school to re-learn the subjects the students needed help in.She earned certification in all academic areas at NHS except physics and Latin, but took courses in physics and Latin in order to be able to do them with students.Win retired from teaching at NHS in 2001, but continues working with students as coordinator of the Homework Club program at Newtown Middle School.Win shares the task with Jessi Zeigler of Newtown Youth and Family Services and together they hire high school students as tutors to work at H.W. Club.Win is an daily walker, an avid reader, photographer, poet, and volunteer for the Bethel Public Library and the Bethel United Methodist Church. She and Paul have four grandchildren living in Boston and Atlanta. After retiring, Win consulted Dr. Boccarossa about whether Invisalign might be a path to a better smile…..and the rest is history, because once she met Dr. Gilman, he started thinking outside the box and helped create the smile Win wanted.
