Safe Dental Care For CT FamiliesPosted by Dr. Aaron Gilman in Untagged |
Medical and dental facilities are accountable for a high level of infection control protocols and this is monitored by multiple regulatory agencies. These agencies perform unannounced inspections and deliver severe penalties when they find any deviation from the infection control standard protocols. In addition to Center's for Disease Control guidelines for medical/dental facilities, medical/dental facilities also follow the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and any other applicable state or federal guidelines.
